Following a fourth win on the bounce, Mighty Jets International FC’s Father Okunjokwu opened scoring in the tenth minute after Samuel Nanjuan laid a through ball to the striker who made no mistake in the final third.

A few minutes later, Eric Gwammy missed a header right inside the box after Igoche Anthony floated a cross from the left flank.

Atarah FA gradually got themselves back into the encounter after a defensive mix-up by the Mighty Jets’ defense to grab an equalizer to end the first half 1-1.

The second half saw Mighty Jets International FC take control of the game, but Atarah FA’s resistant defense stood their ground to deny Usman Maiyanga a chance to put the Jets in front.

A mix-up at the back would subsequently ensure that Mighty Jets International FC punished Atarah FA in the 54 minutes when Father Okunjokwu buried a well-planned and executed combination with Samuel Nanjuan from the edge of the box, to make it 2-1 for the Jets.

Atarah FA showed a lot of discipline and promise with their offensive capabilities.

But with 3 minutes remaining of normal time, Mighty Jets International FC’s young striker, Usman Maiyanga, capitalized on yet another mix-up in the defence of Atarah FA to make it impossible for them to come back with a lovely shot to make it 3-1 for Mighty Jets International FC.
