Michael Olise’s £190m Link To Real Madrid ‘Disowned,’ As Spanish Side Avoids Strained Relations With Bayern Munich

A move for Bayern Munich of Germany midfielder, Michael Olise has been ‘disowned’ by Real Madrid of Spain, as the club reacted speedily to avoid strained relations with the Bundesliga side, which they regard as long-standing friendly ally.

Sports247 reports that Madrid’s rebuttal comes in the wake of recent speculation that they are preparing a sensational £190m bid to sign Olise, while also willing to offer either Aurelien Tchouameni or Eduardo Camavinga in part-exchange.

With the development appearing to escalate due to Olise’s exploits at the ongoing FIFA World Cup, Los Blancos have moved officially to douse the raging tale with a press statement, stressing that they have not held talks with anyone about signing the dazzler.

The official standpoint is in stark contrast with recurring reports that keep linking Olise with a move to Santiago Bernabeu this summer, as the Nigerian-born France international and former Crystal Palace of England star continues making waves.

Consequently, in an apparent move to ensure that their position is understood in clear terms and recorded in print, Madrid have issued a press statement to distance themselves from any move for the highly impressive rave of the moment.

Madrid’s statement read in part: “Regarding an alleged interest from our club in Bayern Munich player Michael Olise, Real Madrid CF wishes to state that it has not had any direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned player.

“Real Madrid also wishes to highlight the excellent relationship it maintains with Bayern Munich, with a history of mutual respect, collaboration and admiration, and regrets the spread of speculation that does not correspond to reality.

“Both clubs have maintained a relationship based on trust, which is reflected in the shared conviction that any potential interest in a player belonging to the other club must be dealt with in accordance with the principles of institutional loyalty.”

Sports247 reports further that Olise scored 20 goals and provided 23 assists in his debut campaign with Bayern Munich, then took his performances to a higher level this season with 22 goals and 31 assists to his name.
