Michael Olakigbe Moves To Swindon Town, Amidst Awesome Accolades At Brentford

Swindon Town of England new arrival, Michael Olakigbe has settled in firmly at the League Two outfit, after a shower of accolades from one of the backroom coaches at his former club, Brentford, Sports247 reports.

Upon confirming the transfer of Olakigbe on loan to Swindon until the end of this season, The Bees’ second team coach, Sam Saunders tipped the 21-year-old defender to excel at his new base.

Saunders’ verdict came in recognition of how Olakigbe played eight times in the English Premier League for Brentford, before which he previously enjoyed loan spells at Peterborough United, Wigan Athletic and Chesterfield.

Olakigbe went straight into Ian Holloway’s squad that played away to Harrogate Town last Sunday at Exercise Stadium, and the youngster is determined to hit the ground running at Swindon.

His aspirations received a boost from Saunders, who said: “We know his qualities. This next step at Swindon working under an experienced manager will be important in his development both on and off the pitch.”
