Nigerian triple jumper Mercy Honesty continued her impressive 2025 outdoor campaign with a commanding victory at the Drake Relays, securing the women’s triple jump title with a leap of 13.07 meters — her second-best performance of the season.
The two-time NJCAA Champion proved once again why she’s a rising force in collegiate athletics, delivering the winning jump early in the competition and maintaining her lead throughout. Her performance further cements her status as one of the top jumpers on the junior college circuit this year.

Honesty opened her season with a lifetime best of 13.35m in March, which also stands as her college career best. That mark remains the leading jump in NJCAA rankings this season and a clear statement of intent from the Nigerian star.
“I’m grateful for the consistency and the progress I’ve made so far this season,” Honesty said after her win. “It’s been a journey of growth, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.”
With her victory in Des Moines, Honesty builds on her reputation as a championship performer and puts herself firmly in contention for another NJCAA national title later this year.
