MBUM FERDINAND TAKES OVER AS GENERAL MANAGER MIGHTY JETS INTERNATIONAL FC OF JOS

It was a breath of freshness in Jos Plateau state as the Nigeria National League side and one of the most popular clubs in Africa Mighty Jets International FC unveiled its New General Manager Mbum Ferdinand.

In a brief ceremony today, documents of the club were handed over to Mbum Ferdinand by the Club’s Secretary/Acting General Manager Mr Umar Kyari. The Vetaran Sports Journalist took over from Mr Alex Wukari having Served in the Club for more than a decade as the Director of Communications.

The New General Manager in a brief remark appreciated the Executive Governor of Plateau State His Excellency Barr. Caleb Mutfwang for giving him the opportunity serve in this Capacity.

Ferdinand Emphasized on adding value to the club as the era of laxity and lack of commitment to the club is over, he stressed the need for collaboration from every department to rebrand the team. “I want to assure you all that we have not come to witch hunt any one and as a new management, we will do our best to place everyone on his toes to deliver, those who need to move to other responsibilities will be inform in due course”.

The Veteran Sports Journalist stated that the Government is poised in rebranding Mighty Jets International FC to a Sports Club in the nearest future in which Sports like Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Hockey, Golf etc will form part of the rebranding and accord others outside football the opportunity to showcase what they’ve got

Also, the General Manager was greeted with Cheers and whistling as he announced the immediate formation of the Women’s team. Youth teams Such as Under 10, Under, 12, Under 13 and Under 15 both Men’s and Women’s Category are to be put in place, “as a matter of fact training pitches for the above Categories have been secured” He exclaimed.

The New sheriff informed all that this new management will focus more on home grown footballers as Plateau State is bless with abundant of talents.

Ferdinand will be assisted by Former Nigerian International Salisu Nakande.

Prominent among dignitaries that Witnessed the history hand over are the General Manager of Plateau United FC Mr Habila Hosea Mutla, the Chairman Plateau State football Association Hon. Sunday Samson Longbap and his first and Second vice Chairmen alongside the Secretary Mr Larry Gowon. The Former General of Juth FC Professor Ishaya Pam was in attendance.
