Magdalene George Storms to 200m Final at Mountain West Outdoor Championships, Eyes Gold and College Best

Nigerian sprinter Magdalene George continued her impressive form on the U.S. collegiate circuit by clocking a season-best 23.19s to top the 200m qualifying rounds at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships.

Competing for her school, George displayed commanding speed and control to finish ahead of the field in the preliminary round, securing her place in Saturday’s final, where she will line up in lane 6.

The performance marks her fastest 200m time since last year and puts her in prime position to challenge for the top spot on the podium.

A bronze medalist in the 60m at the Mountain West Indoor Championships earlier this season, George is now chasing a bigger prize — her first Outdoor title.

With just one-hundredth of a second separating her qualifying time from her personal college best of 23.18s, the 20-year-old sprinter is not just gunning for gold, but also a potential new PB.

All eyes will be on the Nigerian speedster Magdalene  in Saturday’s final, as she looks to cap off her season with a standout performance and a place atop the podium.
