Maduka Okoye Flaunts Exposure In German Academies

Fortuna Dusseldorf of Germany goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye has taken his quest for an invitation to the Super Eagles up a notch, as sports247.ng can report that he is now flaunting development and exposure he gained from some of the best football academies in the country of his birth.

Though still eligible to play for Germany at both youth and senior levels, Okoye has in the past week launched a spirited bid to feature for Nigeria and believes the development he has gained in Germany will help him.
Okoye added that he has trained with some of the world’s best keepers, all of which he says has further aided his development and make him of the high rate quality that is needed in the Eagles.
While also citing the lessons he learnt and experienced gained from the academy of Borussia Monchengladbach, the 19-year-old fast-rising shot-stopper, who has already been contacted by Nigeria’s under-23 national team coach, Imama Amapakabo, said he has a foundation for greatness.
“German goalkeeping schools are one of the best in the world, if not the best. I schooled there for the better part of my life and career.
“I also played in the youth ranks at Bayer Leverkusen. I schooled with the best of the best,” Okoye concluded.
