Madagascar Boss Dupuis names AFCON squad to face Eagles, others

Madagascar coach Nicolas Dupuis has announced his 23-man squad that will face Nigeria and other Group B opponents at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, with three players on standby.

 

Lyon defender Jeremy Morel, 35, who recently switched his international allegiance from France was included in the squad.

 

While Victor Osimhen’s Charleroi teammates Marco Ilaimaharitra, Victor Osimhen is expected to lead the onslaught against the Eagles from the midfield.

 

French based Troyes star Rayan Raveloson was handed a recall since the team’s AFCON qualifiers double header against Equatorial Guinea in October.

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Andriamiraldo ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana is one of the notable name missing from the list.
