-Says Legend Cup Is To Discover Potential Legends In Our Football
-Match Day 3 Heats Up

Vice-Chairman of Surulere League and Organizing Committee of the Legend Cup, Hamza Akeem Oladimeji has commended and praised the efforts of all Players, Coaches, and everyone involved in the tournament after Day 2 of the competition, saying that the tournament has lived up to expectation.
In a Chat with Sports 247, Mr. Akeem admitted how interesting the competition has been, the goals as well as all the excitement and dramas the tournament has produced. He also said the aim of the tournament is to produce future Legends for the country.
“It’s been interesting so far, you can see a lot of fantastic goals. The tournament has actually lived up to its expectation. The whole idea of the tournament is for us to see the next player that will become a legend, that’s why it is named “The Legend Cup”. We want to use this tournament to be able to produce the next Legend like the likes of Kanu Nwankwo, Didier Drogba, George Weah in Africa, so we are looking out to using this tournament to see if we can produce another Legend like that”.
“You can see that the tournament has been so interesting, good goals, the tempo of the game, the players level and all that, it’s actually been wonderful”.
While still Speaking with Sports 247, Mr. Akeem was asked about the arrangement of agents who are to view these games (The Legend Cup), but due to the effect of covid 19, he said due to the covid 19 Pandemic, videos of the games will be sent to them (The agents) for them to see the games and pick out the players that interest them.
“We have our partners from CDS soccer incorporation, based in Canada, they have their offices in Europe, basically work with top clubs in Europe, Asia, we will cover the games and send them the videos, so that they can pick out players that interest them”, he said.
The Legend Cup tournament continues today (Day 3) as SGH Fc battles Emmydihon, Dannaz Fc faces Dannaz 2 Fc, Box2Box fc battles The Charlessan Fc and Erudite Flicks confronts G12 FC.
The Day 3 matches of the Legend Cup in full are:
~Sgh Fc Vs Emmydihon fc (11am- 12:20pm)
~Dannaz Fc Vs Dannaz 2 fc (12:20pm – 1:40pm)
~Box2Box fc Vs The Charlessan Fc (1:40pm- 3:00pm)
~Erudite Flicks Vs G12 fc
(3:00pm- 4:20pm)
All matches will be played at the Agege Stadium in Lagos and it promises to continue its excitement and dramas today.
