Lawal Ogooluwa’s Early Goal Gives Super Accurate FA Victory In 2nd Lann Hydra U10 Cup Final

A 10th minute goal by diminutive midfield battler, Lawal Ogooluwa was enough to give Super Accurate Football Academy victory in the final of this year’s Lann Hydra U10 Cup at Ikotun Community Primary School in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.

Sports247 reports that, against all pre-match forecasts, the final turned out to be quite difficult for the host team, as their opponents, Gunners Football Academy, showed that they were also determined to win the cup.

The game eventually rolled into a ding-dong tempo all through the second half, as the going became very tough for the boys of Coach Idris Oseni Adewale (aka Super), who has affiliations with Remo Stars FC of Ikenne through one of his uncles.

However, against all expectations, Coach Super’s uncle, who happens to be chairman of the academy, did not turn up for Saturday’s final, and his absence apparently left all the competition’s host’s players demoralised.

Incidentally, while Ogo’s first half rocket shot was enough to win the under-10 trophy for Super Accurate FA, it was a different story later on for their under-13 squad, as they lost the day’s second final against Santos FA.

Though they managed to snatch an equaliser in the last minute of play, after Waris Ayoola put Santos 1-0 up with a late stunner, Coach Super’s wards could not score a single spot kick in the resultant penalties’ shootout and they allowed their ‘visitors’ go home with the cup.

Santos’ agile goalkeeper, Olaniyi Yusuf, stopped three of the opponents’ kicks, as the highly promising shot-stopper almost single-handedly gave the glittering Lann Hydra trophy to his team, much to the delight of his coach, Abiodun Yusuf (aka Santos).
