Late NNL Boss To Be Buried Friday

Hon. Chidi Ofo Okenwa”Oyinatumba” (The world cold that blows the community), the late chairman of the Nigeria National League, NNL, executive Committee member of the Nigeria Football Federation, as well as chairman Enugu State Football Association, finally will be committed to mother earth on Friday 24th of July,2020 in his country home, Obinagu Uno Akpugo, Nkanu West Local government Area of Enugu State.

Chidi Ofo Okenwa breathed his last on the 5th of May,2020 after a brief illness at the age of 50.
A wake keeping at his family compound in Obinagu Uno Akpugo on Thursday 23rd of July,2020 will precede his internment on Friday.

Also, his remains will be taken to the Saint Stephen’s Methodist Church Ogonogoeji, Akpugo for special prayers before burial

You will recall a service of songs that was held in his honor on Tuesday 21st July 2020 at his Enugu residence, Akutu Crescent Independence Layout, by his Church, the Methodist Community.

The event was attended by Football Stakeholders, government functionaries, his friends, and family members.

Meanwhile, a strong presence of the Nigeria Football Federation delegation and the Nigeria National League, is already on the ground in Enugu, to bid him farewell and to pay their last respect to their deceased colleague.

Late Chidi Ofo Okenwa was described by many as an astute Football administrator with a unique difference and one with an uncompromising, perfectionist principles by his associates, colleagues, and football stakeholders.
