In a last-minute decision, Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has extended an invitation to striker Paul Onuachu to join Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Onuachu is set to replace the injured Umar Sadiq, providing a valuable alternative in the team’s attacking lineup.

Onuachu’s invitation is currently pending approval from his Turkish club, Trabzonspor.
