Keep-Fit-Lagos 2nd Edition to Promote Healthy Lifestyles

The Director-General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Sports Commission to support the “Keep-Fit-Lagos” initiative, aiming to encourage mass participation in physical activities and promote a healthier lifestyle among residents.

The inaugural edition of Keep-Fit-Lagos, held on December 9, 2023, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, witnessed the participation of key stakeholders in sports and individuals from diverse backgrounds.

The success of the pilot edition has prompted the continuation and support of the initiative by the Sports Commission.

Gafaar emphasized the importance of doing the right thing and fostering self-encouragement to live a healthy lifestyle.

Aligning with the broader goal of promoting a safer Lagos and engaging the community in productive activities, Keep-Fit-Lagos seeks to create awareness about health education and wellness.

The second edition of Keep-Fit-Lagos is scheduled for January 13, 2024, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

The event will feature various fitness activities, with a particular focus on health talks conducted by certified medical professionals.

These health talks aim to educate participants on various aspects of maintaining physical and mental well-being.

The Keep-Fit-Lagos program is an initiative of the Lagos State Sports Commission, in collaboration with the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Damilare Orimoloye.

The overall objective is to contribute positively to the overall health and wellness of the people of Lagos State, encouraging a lifestyle that prioritizes fitness and well-being.
