LANDMARK ACHIEVEMENT FOR TEAM ANAMBRA AT THE 19TH NSF – CHIEF UDUH

The Second Vice President of Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria and a board member of the Anambra State Football Association, Chief Kingsley Uduh has described Team Anambra’s performance at the 19th National Sports Festival as a landmark achievement.

 

 

The Sports administrator made this known on Saturday during an interview with Sports Correspondent Iyke Nwokedi in Abuja venue of the National Sports Festival.

 

Chief Uduh stated that Team Anambra have had a good outing and was the most organized team from the South East Geopolitical zone. Uduh described Mr. Tony Oli, Chairman Anambra State Sports Development Commission, as a gift to Anambra Sports based on his vision and set goals. He opined that Oli’s gigantic strides can be seen with the launching of the football season in the state even before the commencement of the 19th National Sports Festival and recently the WALK FOR LIFE program of the commission.

As a technical committee member of the Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria he lamented the absence of Team Anambra in Gymnastics which he attributed to lack of equipment and facilities not peculiar to Anambra as only 15 states participated in the Gymnastics program of the festival. He also said that efforts are being made to ensure that Anambra State will in the nearest future feature in events concerning Gymnastics.

Chief Uduh commended the state governor, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano for his magnanimity in ensuring that Anambra is counted amongst the state that promotes sports development and youth empowerment.
