In a thrilling display of speed and determination, Ogor Peter of Lagos stole the spotlight at the BESS South West Primary School Games by clinching gold in the Boys’ 200m final, crossing the finish line in 27.3 seconds.
The young sprinter, representing his school with pride, powered past a competitive field to secure victory on home soil, much to the delight of spectators at the event held in Lagos.

Not far behind was Emmanuel Agadun, also of Lagos, who claimed the silver medal with a commendable time of 28.1 seconds, making it a one-two finish for the host state. Adeojo Olamilekan of Ekiti rounded out the podium with a solid run to earn the bronze medal.
Ogor’s performance is already being hailed as one of the standout moments of the regional games, reflecting the depth of talent emerging from Lagos’ grassroots sports development initiatives.
