Kwara United Fine-Tune Tactics Ahead of Rivers United Clash

Kwara United Football Club on Saturday had a feel of the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, as they wrapped up preparations for their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 2 clash against Rivers United.

During the session, the players responded sharply to tactical instructions from the technical bench, showing urgency and determination as they set their sights on maximum points in Sunday’s 4:00pm kickoff.

Head coach Tunde Sanni expressed optimism ahead of the encounter, noting that his team is focused on the task at hand.

He downplayed the impact of Rivers United’s decision to throw the gates open for fans, stressing that it would only serve as an added motivation for his boys.

“We are not distracted by the gesture from our hosts. If anything, it is an encouragement for us to deliver. The boys have trained well, and we are ready to fire from all cylinders,” Coach Sanni said.

The Harmony Boys will be looking to build momentum early in the campaign with a positive result against the Pride of Rivers.

Kwara United have completed the signing of Ezeh Chibuzor, the aggressive striker who was once a hot target for both Rangers International and Enyimba FC.

Chibuzor, who recently ended his spell with Rivers United, has now put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the Harmony Boys.

Known for his strength, speed, and eye for goal, the forward is expected to bring firepower to Kwara United’s attack as they prepare for the new NPFL campaign and CAF Confederation Cup.

Fans in Ilorin are buzzing with excitement, hoping Ezeh will make an immediate impact and become the new goal machine at the club as Kwara United battle for glory at home and on the continent.
