KUNAV FOOTBALL LEAGUE RESUMES AFTER LOCKDOWN

The Vandeikya Local Government Football Council ( VLGFC), in obedience to the Nigerian Football Federation’s directive that all football activities resume after the abrupt break occasioned by Covid – 19 pandemic, has directed the resumption of the Kunav Football League (KFL) next week.

This directive was given to all football stakeholders at a meeting on Wednesday, 4th, November 2020.

The meeting resolved to restart the KFL next week with the first match slated for Saturday, 14, November, 2020 at the Vandeikya Township stadium, Benue State, between Vantown FC, representing Township ward, and Mbakaange ward FC.

The match will be played at 4pm in strict observance to all Covid – 19 protocols as directed by NFF.

Bases on this development, the Chairman, Vandeikya Local Government Football Council (VLGFC), Mr. Robert Akpenpuun has called on all club managers in the local government to take note of the changes and strictly adhere to the new guidelines, especially as it relates to Covid – 19.

The Chairman has also called on all Kunav people to keep supporting the Council so that through the planned tournaments, talents can be discovered and nurtured to stardom, for the good of Kunavland and beyond.

Akpenpuun commended the patience and understanding of fans and football stakeholders during the lockdown period and enjoined them to support their teams now that the tournament has resumed.
