Kogi United assistant coach Abubakar Musa: ‘Draw was fair result’

Kogi United assistant coach Abubakar Musa has expressed his belief that a draw was the fairest result in this morning’s Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 game against Gombe United.

It was a tough battle at the Enyimba International Stadium as both sides shared the spoils 1-1.

The Savannah Scorpions took the lead through Peter Onoja in the second minute of the first half but a clinical finish from Ibrahim Enesi rescued a point for the Tunde Abdulrahman tutored lads.

“It was a fair result for us,” Abubakar Musa said shortly after the match which got underway at 8am in Aba.

“The game will serve as a springboard to do better in our subsequent matches.”

“Our finishing was not too good today, but we will work it for next games.”

“We believe in the quality of players we have even though we lost many.”

Kogi United will next take on Kada City in their second game on Monday while Gombe United will engage Real Stars FC the same day.
