Nigeria’s AFCON-winning defender Kenneth Omeruo is poised for a fresh chapter as he seals a move to Romanian giants CFR Cluj on a free transfer.
Super Eagles stalwart Kenneth Omeruo will officially become a CFR Cluj player on July 1, marking the beginning of a new challenge for the 30-year-old centre-back after parting ways with Turkish side Kasimpasa.

The deal, brokered by high-profile agent Anamaria Prodan, was all but confirmed after she posted a photo of Omeruo alongside Cluj president Cristi Balaj, signaling the club’s intent to bolster its defence with experience and leadership.
Omeruo, who boasts 69 international caps for Nigeria and was a key member of the squad that clinched the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), becomes the sixth Nigerian player to don Cluj colours.
