Kayode Bankole: Nigerian Safe Hands Ready to Make PSL Mark

Super Eagles goalkeeper Kayode Bankole is finally set for his much-anticipated debut in the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) after securing his work permit, clearing the last hurdle to feature for TS Galaxy.

The Nigerian shot-stopper has been sidelined since the start of the season due to documentation delays, but with that chapter closed, Bankole is now fully available and primed to hit the ground running in one of Africa’s most competitive leagues.

A back-to-back Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Goalkeeper of the Season award winner, Bankole arrives in South Africa with serious credentials.

His consistency, command of the box, and elite shot-stopping ability made him one of the standout performers in Nigerian domestic football and earned him the move abroad.

During his time with Remo Stars, Bankole was instrumental in the club’s rise, helping them secure continental qualification on two occasions.

His performances did not go unnoticed at the international level either, earning him call-ups to the Nigeria U23 team and the Super Eagles, with appearances in World Cup qualifiers and an international friendly against Costa Rica.

TS Galaxy supporters are understandably eager. Bankole is not just a squad addition — he’s a statement signing. Calm under pressure, technically sound, and battle-tested, he brings leadership and reliability to the last line of defense.
