Katsina United Set to Resume Training July 7, Retains 23 Players for 2025/2026 NPFL Season

Katsina United Football Club has officially announced July 6, 2025, as the resumption date for players ahead of preparations for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

This development was confirmed in a statement signed by Muhammad Rabiu Muhammad, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports and Youths Development, on behalf of the Commissioner.

According to the statement, full training activities will kick off on Monday, July 7, at the club’s training ground, with both players and technical staff expected to resume duty as scheduled.

In a strategic move to bolster its squad, the club revealed it has retained 23 players from the previous season while inviting 12 new players to join the team for preseason activities.

The fresh additions are expected to bring new energy and competition into the team as Katsina United targets an impressive outing in the upcoming campaign.

The club also called on all technical crew members and backroom staff to ensure their presence at the resumption, emphasizing the importance of early preparations.
