Kators Cup Tournament: Edo FA, Esycca Boss Salute Ekhator

Days after the inaugural Kators cup tournament ended in Benin city, the Edo state capital, stakeholders of the game have continued to heap praises on the CEO of Kators sports investment, Osagie Christopher Ekhator, and the organizers of the Kators cup tournament for youth teams in Edo state.

The scouting tournament which held at western boys high school complex in Benin city, saw Watford and super Eagles striker Isaac success pet club, Isaac success FC lifting the trophy following a 2-0 win over Dinamo Academica while Shooting Arrow FC emerge third-place winner after a 1-0 win against Rolly FC.

Edo FA secretary, Elder Emmanuel Ajibola who attended the closing ceremony, describes the tournament as one of the biggest in recent time in Benin city given the high standard display by the participating teams.

” am impressed with the level of organization of the just concluded Kators cup, it is one of the biggest in recent time in Benin city, the standard displayed by the teams during the tournament was high and I want to commend Osagie Ekhator for giving back to the society, the FA will continue to support the program and hope it meets its objectives, Ajibola stated.

On his part, President Edo state youth club coaches Association(Esycca) Uwadiae Lucky Sample, said the country needs more of Ekhators type to help engage the youth meaningfully, adding that the tournament was well organized.

“I must commend the tournament sponsor who singlehandedly put up this wonderful event for our youths, we need more of his type in nigeria to help engage the youths meaningfuly.

“As seen here in the last couple of days, we all enjoyed the event that also boost economic activities in the area during the tournament, no doubt a lot of talents were discover, as the president of the youth clubs coaches association, I congratulate the tournament sponsor and organisers for a wonderful event.

Meanwhile, the tournament sponsor osagie Christopher Ekhator during a launch Party wth all the teams officials, commended their effort for a successful maiden Kators cup tournament, he promise to put up a much better event next year, adding that the players scouted will be unveil shortly with kators sports investment and it partners taking care of their needs to play soccer abroad.

The ex footballer also use the occasion to thank his parners, Bell point Energy, charity wound care foundation, Asaya zoe, Joseph isokpehi, st Patrick oiwoh for a good job.

Eight selected teams from across Edo state took part in the week long soccer event.

Courtesy of the tournament sponsor, the first prize of #200.000, went to the winner, while the runner up got #150.000. and the third place winner went home with #100.000.

Medals, and individual awards such as top scorer, best coach, best Goal keeper and MVP were given out by the sponsor,
