The highly anticipated FGI Basketball 1-on-1 Championship concluded today, May 3, 2025, in Minner, with Kano emerging as the tournament champion and Jos-based Alex Anaba finishing as first runner-up.

Anaba, representing Plateau State, opened strong by defeating Adamawa 7–3 in game one and followed it up with a 3–1 win over Kaduna in game two. He suffered a narrow 6–7 loss to Kano in game three.
In the semifinal, Anaba delivered a convincing 6–3 victory over Abuja to book his place in the final.
The final saw a rematch between Anaba and Kano. Despite a determined effort, Anaba fell 2–6, with Kano securing the title and the ₦150,000 top prize.
Alex Anaba received ₦70,000 for his runner-up finish, while Taraba took third place and a ₦30,000 prize.
The next edition of the FGI FURY Basketball 1-on-1 Championship is expected in two months, with the official date yet to be announced.
