The last year WGB Lagos FA Cup finalist,Box 2 Box this afternoon crashed out following their 2-3 defeat suffered in the hands of Joy Cometh Football Club of Ikorodu in the fourth round of WBG Lagos FA Cup.
Box 2 Box played 3-3 with Joy Cometh at the regulation time before went on penalty shoot out.
Box 2 Box were leading 3-1 before their opponents came back and drew them at the last minute to end the game on Penalties.
Reacting to team’s defeat,Box 2 Box coach Reuben Randy expressed displeasure over team’s loss and blamed their defeat as a result of poor officiating.
“We lost this game due to poor officiating and I am disappointed about the defeat.I am not happy but I just want the organisers to look into this matter to avoid such situation in the subsequent matches,”he said.
Joy Cometh keeper,Job Johnson who saved three penalties was full of joy saying that their late equaliser spurred him to perform well in the penalty shoot out.
“This is not my best moment but it is one of the best moments in my football career.i am happy that we won the game and our target is to reach the final stage,”he said.
