Joshua: I’ll Cherish OBE Award Forever

Nigerian-born British three-belt heavyweight boxing champion of the world, Anthony Olaseni Oluwafemi Joshua says he will forever cherish the Order of The British Empire (OBE) award he received on Thursday.

Sports247.ng reports that Joshua was ecstatic, after he was awarded an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his services to sport.

The award presentation by Prince Charles took at Buckingham Palace adds to the roll call of honours Joshua already has in England.

He was previously awarded a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire back in 2013, for his success at the London 2012 Olympics where he won gold in the heavyweight boxing.

An OBE is a Queen’s honour given to an individual for a major local role in any activity such as business, charity or the public sector.
