Competing for Louisiana State University (LSU), Jimoh showed early-season sharpness and composure, delivering a series of solid attempts to secure a podium finish in his first indoor outing of the year.
The mark currently places him 17th in the 2026 NCAA Indoor rankings and 15th in the Division I Indoor standings, underlining his status as one of the athletes to watch this season.
The performance is particularly encouraging given Jimoh’s personal best of 2.19m, suggesting there is still more to come as the season progresses and he builds rhythm and confidence.
For an opener, the 2.13m clearance serves as a strong statement of intent and a platform for bigger heights in upcoming meets.
As the indoor campaign gathers momentum, Jimoh will be aiming to close the gap to his personal best and push himself firmly into the upper echelon of NCAA high jumpers, while continuing to fly the Nigerian flag high on the collegiate stage
