Paris Saint-Germain Féminine have received a timely boost with the return of Nigerian midfielder Jennifer Echegini to full training ahead of their weekend fixture against Le Havre AC.
The 24-year-old Super Falcons star had sustained an injury late in PSG’s league encounter against Strasbourg on October 19, sparking fears of a hamstring problem that sidelined her from Nigeria’s crucial 2026 WAFCON Qualifiers doubleheader against Benin Republic.

However, Echegini’s recovery has progressed faster than expected, with the attacking midfielder rejoining full team training on Friday. Club sources suggest she could be included in the matchday squad for Saturday’s D1 Arkema clash.
Her return comes as a significant boost for manager Gérard Prêcheur, whose side has relied heavily on Echegini’s creativity and attacking drive since her arrival. The Nigerian international has been one of PSG’s standout performers this season, contributing goals and assists in key matches.
Echegini’s availability will also be welcome news for Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum, as Nigeria prepares for a busy international calendar heading into 2025.
PSG currently sit in the upper tier of the D1 Arkema standings and will look to maintain their strong start when they host Le Havre at the Stade Georges Lefèvre
