JAFA Boosts Football Development By Recognizing, Appreciating And Challenging Individuals With Awards

Jos Amateur Football Association, JAFA, have appreciated some individuals that have contributed immensely to the growth and development of grassroots football in Plateau North, especially in Jos North local government area of Plateau State by putting up a befitting “thank you” ceremony where awards were ditched out.

Speaking at the award ceremony, the Chairman, Jos Amateur Football Association(JAFA), Alhaji Ali Jarawa, said that this occasion is very necessary in order to encourage them not to stop their support in making the peaceful coexistence currently enjoined be permanent in the area through their selfless involvement in football promotion which in the long run keep the youths positively busy, and hence, promote peace in the State at large.
Ali Jarawa continued “My association deems it fit to celebrate these great and selfless individuals for their relentless efforts in curbing youths restiveness, civil unrest, crimes, and other vises and their immense contributions to football development within Jos North LGA and environs.”

One of the awardees, Chairman, Plateau State Football Association, Hon. Sunday Samson Longbap, who was praised to the heavens for his exemplary leadership worth emulating by the JAFA Chairman, Alh. Jarawa, said it’s a noble cause embarked upon by JAFA, which will go a long way in making the dream of the Plateau State FA of taking football to the expected level be actualized.

Sunday Samson Longbap continues: “I must commend JAFA for taking this bold step by challenging other local government councils in aligning with the State body in moving football forward on the Plateau with this award which will more motivate d awardees to do more and challenge other individuals to give their own support in taking football to the promised land.”

Responding on behalf of the awardees, the Divisional Police Officer, C division, CSP Lyabityak Yusuf, commends JAFA and promised that they will stop at nothing in providing adequate security before, during, and after every grassroots competition in their jurisdiction.

So moved by JAFA’s gesture, Mr. Yusuf promised to sponsor a grassroots football competition in the area.
