Iwobi’s Skills Outshine Hazard, Firmino, Zaha, Sane

Arsenal attacker, Alex Iwobi has gained yet another personal lift, as The Gunners’ star has been rated above several top players in terms of skills and daring moves during key matches.

Sports247.ng gathered that Iwobi is now joint-number one in the roll call of star players who are brave enough to show their skills and put the ball through the feet of an opposing player during the heat of a crucial game.

The art of putting the ball between an opponent’s feet is called ‘nutmeg,’ and Iwobi has completed the most of such moves by any player this term in the English Premier League.

Iwobi heads the table of nutmeg stars in 2018 with West Ham United winger, Felipe Anderson, as both players having five to their names.

The Super Eagles star is ahead of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, who have completed four nutmegs each, while those with three include Manchester United’s Ashley Young, Ayoze Perez of Newcastle United and Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace.

Also with three, to place joint-fifth on the table, are Danny Rose of Tottenham Hotspur, Josh Murphy of Cardiff City, Nathan Redmond of Southampton and Roberto Firmino of Liverpool.

Iwobi could go top of the log should he get another nutmeg in his 10th FA Cup appearance for The Gunners, away to Blackpool on Saturday.
