While admitting that the Eagles are currently in a very tight spot regarding picking their qualification group’s lone ticket to USA/Canada/Mexico 2026, Iwobi stressed that the players need more encouragement ahead of their upcoming games versus Rwanda this Saturday in Uyo and away to South Africa in Bloemfontein on Tuesday.

The former Arsenal and Everton of England dazzler pointed out, “My message is that Nigerians should continue supporting us. As players, we believe we can win. So, you guys should believe in us as well.”
He reckoned further that goodwill messages and words of encouragement would go a very long way towards motivating the players to give their very best efforts at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo and Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.
“(They should) give us the energy we need to go and get the results that we need to achieve in order to get to the World Cup. The lads are feeling good and everyone is optimistic, as we get set to play our first game with Rwanda. Hopefully, we can play well and get the result we need,” Iwobi enthused.
