The vice-President of Island All Stars Club (IASC), Ben Ijezie has revealed that the Lagos-based recreational group’s new leadership has set plans in motion for the construction of a new befitting secretariat.
Ben Ijezie revealed this during an exclusive interview with Sports247 at Lagos Business School (LBS) Sports Complex in Lekki, where the IASC’s Above-45 Cup 2025 Tournament – a recreational football competition among veterans – began on Saturday.

After seeing Team Lush defeat Team Akuruoulo 6-5 via penalties, after regulation time ended 1-1 in the first match, Edozie hailed all members of the club and their sponsors for making this year’s competition possible, then pledged that the IASC’s new leadership will work hard to get higher marks for them.
He disclosed, “Island All Stars Club is the fastest growing sports recreation and keep fit gathering in the entire West African region – there is no doubt about that. The club has been growing from strength to strength, and we will continue growing.
“This is a new administration that recently came on board. It was on June 15th that this administration started, ably led by our president, Chief Kenneth Okeke, a man of vision.”
Ijezie then reeled out a chain of lofty projects that the new leadership of IASC has in the pipeline, top of which is to open their official club house before the year runs its full course.
The IASC vice-president declared, “We have great plans for the club. We are moving the club from where it is now to an enviable height, which all our members would be proud of.
“In no distant time, we will commence our club house, by the grace of God. By then, I am sure every member of our esteemed club would be proud to belong to this great gathering.”
