CHAN Super Eagles standout Imoh Obot has officially brought his four-year stint with Enyimba FC to an end, setting the stage for a potential high-profile move within the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Renowned for his dangerous set-pieces, powerful runs, and composure on the ball, Obot leaves Enyimba with a decorated resume that includes an NPFL title, continental experience in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, and a senior national team appearance against Mexico.

Sources close to the player indicate that discussions are already underway with several top-flight clubs. Among the frontrunners is Rivers United FC, now under the guidance of former Enyimba boss and Nigerian legend Finidi George.

Having worked closely with Obot during his tenure in Aba, Finidi is believed to be eager to bring the left-back to Port Harcourt to reinforce his new-look squad.

Obot is also expected to play a crucial role for Nigeria at the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN), where his experience and versatility will be vital.

With his contract at Enyimba officially expired, the next chapter of Imoh Obot’s career promises to be one of the most closely watched transfers in the NPFL this off-season
