From the fields of Abia State’s Right2Win Football Academy to the professional pitches of the Czech Republic, John Auta is proving that hard work and perseverance truly pay off.
The Kaduna State–born winger has been in fine form for FK Teplice, recently celebrating a contract extension with the top-flight club. And he wasted no time justifying that faith — playing the full 90 minutes in his team’s 3–1 away win over Dukla Praha in the Czech Chance Liga 1.

Auta was a constant menace down the wings, combining blistering pace, direct dribbling, and attacking flair to stretch the opposition’s defence. His efforts were rewarded late in the game when he provided a crucial 83rd-minute assist, sealing the win for Teplice.
His all-round display earned him a 7.2 rating, continuing a strong run of performances that have made him one of the club’s most promising young attackers.
After the match, Auta reflected on his progress and the journey that brought him from Nigeria to Europe.
“I’m grateful for the journey so far,” he said. “Right2Win gave me my foundation, and here in Teplice I’ve been able to grow and test myself at a higher level. Every match is a chance to improve.”
Auta has now made 11 appearances this season across all competitions — including league, cup, and youth fixtures — and continues to impress coaches with his energy, discipline, and attacking maturity.
“I want to keep developing, help my team win, and make Nigeria proud,” he added. “This is just the beginning.”
Still only in the early stages of his European adventure, John Auta is fast emerging as one of the brightest Nigerian exports in Central Europe. With his new deal secured and confidence growing each week, the young winger looks set to soar even higher in the Czech top flight.
