Ikpea optimistic new Sports Minister shall succeed

The National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea has expressed optimism that the tenure of newly appointed Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare, shall be successful.

Speaking with the media in his Lagos office, Ikpea, hinged his optimism on the vast experiences garnered by the new minister in the media and particularly, as an administrator.

According to the amiable NFSC boss, as a versatile and veteran journalist, Dare is not oblivious of the bittersweet happenstances and the attendant controversies in Nigerian sports.

” I am personally glad that President Muhammad Buhari, has appointed a media technocrat to take charge of our sports,” Ikpea stated.

” I believe he is going to be successful as the sports minister, going by his enviable achievements in his previous appointments.

” Immediately after he was sworn in as minister, he has hit the ground running by visiting the sports ministry, as well as, his stance to take no prisoners in his duties as sports minister, he noted.

Ikpea went ahead to assure Dare of the unalloyed support of the foremost supporters club. Adding that the NFSC would also continue its globally acknowledged commitment and support for football and other sports in Nigeria.
