Ikere Local Football Council Leads As Ekiti State Fa Introduces Local Football Councils’ Rating

Ikere local football council has become the shining star among the local football councils in the Ekiti state football ecosystem as it tops the recent local football council ratings recently introduced by the Ekiti State Football Association.

Out of the 16 local football councils that are in the Ekiti state football association, the Ikere local football council ranked first though closely followed by Irepodun Ifelodun local football council

The local football councils in Ekiti were graded on parameters set by the Ekiti State FA which are; Screening of Prospective Referees in Training (SPRITs), Presence of LFC Patron (PoP), Opening of bank account (OoBS), Social media presence (SMP) and Programs and Activities (P&A).

The FA chairman, Mr. Bayo Olanlege was delighted with the commitment of Ikere local football council, in his words; I am particularly impressed with the Ikere local football council, led by the Acting Chairman, Mr. Adeolu Oyebode with guidance from Mr. Tope Orolu, the Ekiti State FA Patron in charge of the Ikere LFC. The council has demonstrated with actions all that the Ekiti State FA stands for; diligence, focus and determination.

He further charged other local football councils in Ekiti state football ecosystem, especially those that have all boxes unchecked to take a cue for Ikere Local Football Council, stressing that numerous benefits are embedded in grassroots football business in the short, medium and long term if properly annexed.
