Coming into the competition as one of the favorites, G-Innovation fell like pack of cards against a resilient Shuffle Select who made light work of thier opponent to earn a deserved 3-0 victory.

Assessing his teams’ outing after the game in a post match pressers with Sports247.ng, Ibeh admitted that the boys allowed thier ego and arrogance get into thier heads.

“This loss is so painful and I can’t really say what happened. We believed that we have arrived and I have been telling them that they shouldn’t take anything for granted because every team is preparing against G-Innovation.”

“I reiterated that instruction to them this morning and they said they are coming here to win. They scored us one, two, three and we couldn’t reply, we don’t commonize opponent, take every game serious because you came out first in your group it makes you champion, it doesn’t work that way,” he lamented.

“Superiority complex wrecked this team this afternoon and thankfully, the chairman is already addressing that because he came to watch the game.”

“Now while assessing where we failed, we discovered that some of the players have grudges between them even while playing, I got to know about this during the half time break and that’s why we were able to play the last twenty minutes very well but it was too late,” he explained further.

“Now we are hoping on the next game tomorrow and with the psyching from the chairman, they will sit up. We will go and prepare and fight for tomorrow because it’s not all lost yet,” he assured.
