Head coach of Shuffle Select, Saint Austin has lauded the resilience and discipline of his players’ to stick to instructions in the Ikeja DFA Super 4 curtain raiser game against G-Innovation.
Shuffle Select made light work of their opponent to pick all maximum three points in the first game of the tourney at the Alade Stadium this afternoon.
A win which undoubtedly excites the tactician, Austin allayed that the boys gave their all and he’s so happy with such positive result.
“Before now, our focus is qualifying for the final round, to finish well, that is our main priority before we started the league,” he stated in an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng.
‘We know what’s ahead of us, the task so we have worked hard to be here and you can see that on the pitch of play today, we really worked hard, everyone was disciplined and I’m proud.”

Assessing each individual performance, the head coach admitted that it will be an injustice on his side to praise a single player.
“Collectively, the team did well, it’s a team work and I don’t have to pick out a single player because for that player to do well, it means others supported him, kudos to the boys.”
On their opponent ( G-Innovation): “Our opponent were very good too but the better side won.”
“Right now, we have to focus on what’s ahead. We will talk to the boys to remind them of the task ahead of us that until it’s finished, it’s not finished. We will do our best to get the maximum points in our next game,” he concluded.
