Ibrahim Alhassan Leads FK Shkëndija to Macedonian League Title, Eyes UEFA Champions League Qualification

Nigerian midfielder Ibrahim Alhassan has made headlines in North Macedonia after playing a key role in FK Shkëndija’s triumphant 2024–25 season, which ended with the club clinching the Macedonian First League title.

Born in Kano State, Alhassan joined Shkëndija in July 2024 following a solid campaign with KF Gostivar. He quickly became an integral part of the team, delivering standout performances throughout the season.

One of his most memorable contributions came in Week 21, when his dazzling backheel goal sealed a crucial 1-0 win over Tikvesh—cementing Shkëndija’s position at the top of the league table.

Speaking shortly after joining the club, Alhassan expressed his excitement:
“The way the team has received me makes me really excited. I was very happy when I saw Shkëndija’s offer because I know and like the style of the team.”

With the league title secured, FK Shkëndija now looks ahead to the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, where they hope to represent North Macedonia on the European stage and make a lasting impression.
