IASC PatrickLingo Super League 2026: Remed Healthcare Go Top of League as Captain Uche Ifemeledike’s Brace Sinks Daily Manna Bakery

Remed Healthcare have climbed to the summit of the league standings with six points after captain Uche Ifemeledike scored twice to inspire a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Daily Manna Bakery FC, while title rivals Zudachi Construction and Jendol Superstores played out a 1-1 draw.

The result strengthened Remed Healthcare’s position in the competition, with Ifemeleduike’s clinical finishing and a crucial penalty save from the team’s goalkeeper proving decisive.

Speaking exclusively to Sports247 after the encounter, the Remed captain expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance, particularly their improvement in front of goal.

“I am very happy that we got the maximum points. Today has been a good day for me because I scored two goals,” Ifemeledike told Sports247.

“In our previous match, we missed several chances, but today we took our opportunities, and the result was positive.”

The captain’s brace proved enough to overcome a determined Daily Manna Bakery side that had previously held Jendol Superstores to a 1-1 draw and Zudachi Construction to a 2-2 stalemate.

Despite the victory, Ifemeledike acknowledged the quality of their opponents.

“I think Daily Manna Bakery FC have one of the best defences in the tournament, but we gave our best and took our chances. If we had failed to convert those opportunities, the game might have ended in a draw.”

Before the meeting between Zudachi Construction and Jendol Superstores, Ifemeledike admitted that a draw between the two sides would favour his team’s position.

“We respect both teams. They are very strong sides with quality players. We hope their match ends in a draw so that we can retain our position at the top of the table.”

His wish was fulfilled as Zudachi and Jendol shared the points following an entertaining 1-1 encounter, leaving Remed Healthcare at the summit. Beyond his goalscoring contribution, Ifemeleduike praised his goalkeeper for producing a vital penalty save during the victory over Daily Manna Bakery.

“That was a fantastic save, and we are very proud of him,” he said.

“I did not expect him to make that save, but he showed his quality and proved what he is capable of. We are delighted with his performance.”

With six points and first place secured, Remed Healthcare have strengthened their position in the league. However, maintaining their advantage will depend on sustaining the attacking efficiency and defensive resilience that proved decisive against Daily Manna Bakery.
