NPFL side Ikorodu City F.C. have once again stamped their authority on Lagos football, clinching their third Lagos FA Cup title with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over G12 Football Club at the Onikan Stadium.
The decisive moment came midway through the second half when Tosin Oyedokun struck the winning goal, ensuring Ikorodu City secured yet another piece of silverware and reaffirmed their dominance in the competition.
It was a tightly contested final, with both sides creating chances and showing attacking intent. However, Ikorodu City’s experience and composure proved crucial in the defining moments of the game.
Head coach Bright Ozebagbe praised his team’s resilience and technical superiority after the match.
“It was a tough contest, but we deserved the victory. The journey to the final wasn’t easy, and I’m proud of the players for delivering when it mattered most,” he said.
Despite the defeat, G12 FC coach Olusanjo Olutayo commended his team’s effort but expressed dissatisfaction with officiating decisions during the match.
In the women’s final, FC Robo Queens were dominant, thrashing Ghetto Tigers 4–0 to lift the trophy.
With this latest triumph, Ikorodu City not only celebrate a third Lagos FA Cup crown but also head into the National Federation Cup with momentum and growing confidence.
For the Oga Boys, this victory is more than just another trophy—it’s a statement of consistency, growth, and rising dominance in Lagos football.
