Harrison Jalla Charges Ex-Players On How To Become States FA Board Members

Concerning the ongoing elections into various states’ football association boards, the Chairman of the Task Force Committee of Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), Harrison Jalla has challenged ex-footballers who are interested in their State’s FA boards to take a cue from Delta State FA, by firstly, taking their seats on the Local Football Council and the State FA board.

Speaking on behalf of the PFAN Task Force, Harrison Jalla urged all qualified ex-footballers to take their place as a matter of right in their various local council boards and the states football Association boards, in equal membership with other statutory members of the Nigeria Football Federation.

He restated that, “10.1 of the 2010 NFF statutes, as Amended, gives equal membership rights to all 5 statutory members of the Nigeria Football Federation, and the players union inclusive. In light of the above the PFAN Task Force will like to reiterate as follows:

“That any State Football Association still observing Article 10.1 in breach should be confronted by the chapter of the Professional Footballers Association (PFAN) of such State to demand their rights. And all PFAN State Chapters must further note that composition of local councils and states football association boards must be of equal membership in consonance with Article 10.1 of the NFF statutes.”

Harrison Jalla commended Delta State F.A for doing the needful in that regard and admonishes all PFAN State Chapters to take a cue from the Delta State chapter of PFAN.

He added, “The PFAN Task Force is closely monitoring events as they unfold and would take holistic action to address the imbalance at the appropriate time.”
