President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Nigerian Football Federation boss Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has affirmed that the Super Eagles will continue to improve following their impressive performance at the last Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Speaking on the team’s progress, Gusau noted that Nigeria exceeded expectations at the tournament and raised the bar in terms of performance, commitment and identity.
“The team performed beyond what many people expected at the last AFCON,” Gusau said. “They set a standard for themselves, and the goal now is to keep improving and building on that level.”
The NFF president stressed that the national team is still a work in progress, adding that there is more quality and depth to be added as the rebuilding process continues.
“There is more to come from this team,” he added. “We will also introduce new players gradually to strengthen the squad and improve competition for places.”
Gusau reassured Nigerians that the federation remains committed to supporting the technical crew and players, insisting that consistency and continuity are key to sustaining the momentum gained from the AFCON outing.
“Nigerians should be assured that the Super Eagles will keep improving,” he said. “The focus is to maintain the standards we have set and continue moving forward.”
The Super Eagles are expected to return to action in upcoming international windows as preparations continue for future qualifiers and tournaments.
