GRASSODON lights up Lagos for students on vacation

With the recent low grassroots tournament in Lagos and environs, grassroots soccer developer of Nigeria (GRASSODON) an organisation based in Lagos has decided to engage the youth during this long vacation with an under 16 age-grade competition.

 

 

The tournament is being sponsored by Colin’s Edwin sports club of Lagos in partnership with Lagos state football association.

In a telephone interview with the media officer of the grassroots organisation, Maduabuchi said the target of the competition is to engage youth during the long school vacation and to make them have a sense of belonging with the society.

He further stated that the tournament will be in knockout stages, players will be a scout for by invited scouts within the country and outside.
The tournament is meant to promote the youth, while two teams will be formed from the two tournaments and they will embark on a tour of Russia to expose them to modern facilities.

Maduabuchi concluded that the winning team will surely smile home and there are also honour for individual performance.

The tournament will kick off the 21st of August 2019.
