It was a moment of pure joy and renewed motivation at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, on Tuesday evening as Nigeria’s most successful football club, Enyimba International FC, received two brand-new luxury vehicles — a Coaster Bus and a Hummer Bus — from the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
The gesture, part of the Governor’s ongoing commitment to sports development and youth empowerment, fulfilled a promise made to the People’s Elephant following their spirited performances in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The arrival of the buses sent waves of excitement through the Enyimba camp as players, officials, and supporters hailed the Governor’s magnanimity and steadfast support for the club.
Enyimba Chairman and Nigerian football legend, Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo (Papilo), who broke the news to the team during training ahead of their Matchday 8 clash against Kun Khalifat FC in Owerri, praised the Governor for his consistent fatherly leadership and passion for sports.
“This is another great day in the history of Enyimba FC. His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, has once again shown that he is not just a leader but a true father to Abia’s sporting family. His unwavering support will go a long way in motivating our players and easing our logistics as we chase glory this season,” Kanu said.
He further charged the players to remain focused and disciplined, assuring them that the management would continue to improve welfare and maintain the club’s winning tradition.
Governor Otti, who recently announced a ₦30 million cash reward to the team for their victory over Insurance FC, has steadily built a reputation as a hands-on leader dedicated to revitalizing sports and empowering youth in Abia State.
The newly acquired Coaster Bus, branded in Enyimba’s iconic royal blue, is not just a means of transportation — it represents renewed belief and ambition. The Hummer Bus, designed for the technical crew and officials, is expected to arrive shortly.
