Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has been honoured by United States-based Nigerian athlete, Victory Godah, in a heartwarming gesture recognizing the Governor’s unwavering commitment to sports development in the state.
Fresh from her athletic triumph in the U.S., Godah led a high-powered delegation to Government House, Yenagoa, where she presented Governor Diri with a symbolic Minnesota-branded T-shirt — a token of gratitude for his continued support for young athletes and sports infrastructure in Bayelsa.

Godah was joined by top officials including the Auditor General of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Dr. Kola Oredipo; Bayelsa State Athletics Head Coach, Richard Torugbene; and the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Sports.
