Gombe Bulls Basketball Club coach, Abdulrahman Mohammed has declared that the club are determined to emerge tops in the final 8 contest of the league this month.
Speaking to sports247.ng at the start of the Nigerian Basketball Premier League Final 8 campaign in Kano, Abdulrahman said Gombe Bulls have what it takes to become champions.
Abdulrahman further stated that his side will not be deterred from their target of finishing top, as they aim to win the league, despite being rated outside the top favourites for the title.
Most pundits have giving the nod to the host team, Kano Pillars to carry the title, as they have the opportunity of playing at home, Abdulrahman said Gombe Bulls will prove their critics wrong.
He declared: ‘I am sure we have what it takes to become champions this year.
“We will not engage in any war of words, but I can assure you that we will surprise everyone.
“We will only focus on matters on the court by taking each game as it comes.”
