With the crowd roaring in support, the team brought the baton home in 1st place, clocking a time of 3:20.65 and sending the local supporters into a frenzy.
Their victory was made all the more impressive given the strength of their competitors. Team Edo put up a brave challenge and finished second with a time of 3:23.41, while Team Lagos clinched bronze in 3:24.36.
