Competing in Minnesota colours, Godah exploded out of the blocks and never looked back, underlining his early-season form with a statement run that instantly positioned him as the man to beat heading into the final.
The Nigerian dominance continued in Heat 2, where Elo Blessing Okpah powered to victory in 7.55s, the second-fastest time across all heats.
Okpah’s composed and controlled run ensured his place in the final, further strengthening Nigeria’s grip on the event.
