GATEWAY STADIUM PITCH AFFECTED OUR PERFORMANCE – OGUNBOTE

Technical Adviser of Enugu Rangers, Olugbenga Ogumbote has attributed the near poor performance his team had against Remo Stars FC to the rumpled playing turf of the Gateway International Stadium, Shagamu, sports247.ng exclusively reports.

Former Shooting Stars gaffer lamented that the 2 points dropped by by his team away to Remo Stars in one of the Wednesday Rescheduled fixtures of the Nigeria Professional Football league was due to the poor state of the pitch in Shagamu and thus restricted them to be firing from all cylinders

Enugu Rangers played out a 0-0 draw against the Sky Blues but Ogunbote expressed displeasure that his lads should have done more had the playing surface of the Gateway International Stadium, Shagamu were being in better playing condition.

In his words, the former Giwa FC tactician said; “if I want to say, I would say its 2 points dropped. Two points dropped in the sense that Two points dropped one way and one point gained the other way. We were unable to play our game because of the Turf so that’s Two points lost. We devised a means of not getting home empty handed one point gained”.

Enugu Rangers has gathered 17 points from 8 matches
