Galatasaray supporters are set to stage a special tribute in honour of the late mother of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as the bond between the player and the Turkish giants continues to grow stronger.
According to reports, fans of Galatasaray are preparing a large-scale tifo and choreography at RAMS Park ahead of an upcoming match in February 2026.

The planned display is meant to honour the memory of Osimhen’s mother and show solidarity with the striker, who has often spoken openly about how her death shaped his life and career.
A Gesture of Compassion and Unity
The choreography, being organised by sections of the club’s ultra-supporters known as the “Cimbom,” is expected to dominate the stands with powerful visuals and messages dedicated to Osimhen’s late mother.
The initiative underlines the deep emotional connection between the fans and the forward, who has quickly become one of the most adored figures at the club.
Supporters say the tribute is not only a sign of love for Osimhen but also a reflection of Galatasaray’s culture of standing by its players during both triumphs and personal hardships.
Osimhen’s Story: From Loss to Stardom
Osimhen lost his mother when he was around three years old, a tragedy that had a profound impact on his upbringing. He later lost his father in 2020. Growing up in Lagos, Osimhen and his siblings endured severe hardship, at times selling sachet water on busy streets to support their family.
The striker has repeatedly credited those early struggles for shaping his resilience and hunger for success.
“My mother died when I was still a baby,” Osimhen has said in past interviews, noting that his difficult childhood continues to motivate him on and off the pitch.
A Fan Favourite in Turkey
Since arriving in Turkey, Osimhen has enjoyed a remarkable 2025/2026 season, scoring 35 goals across all competitions and playing a key role in Galatasaray’s historic trophy triumph.
His performances, combined with his humility and emotional connection with supporters, have cemented his status as a fan favourite.
The planned tribute at RAMS Park is expected to be one of the most emotional moments of the season, further symbolising the unique relationship between Galatasaray supporters and one of Africa’s brightest football stars.
